This is one of my favorite bookmarked meditations, perfect for either when I want to drift off to sleep with positive affirmations on my mind or just when I need to recharge a little bit during a busy day and shift focus. I have no idea if this really unblocks your energy to help you receive blessings, but taking an hour out of a stressful day to acknowledge what has happened during the day, how you’re feeling, and how you want the rest of your day, week and beyond to go certainly does feel like positive mental preparation and an investment in. your wellness.
This meditation begins with a body scan. It’s up to you if you prefer to do this lying down (as I do) or sitting up right so that you don’t get too sleep, but for the full ASMR effect, it’s best to watch the reiki hand flutters and motions.
The majority of this 71-minute video is about “I am” manifestations, which are less about acquiring abundance – as many manifestation videos are – and more about being proud of yourself, knowing that you deserve a life of joy, and that the hard part of your situation is over. There are repeated reassurances that some good things do happen overnight, and how you have no idea how good your life is about to get. It includes affirmations acknowledging that we’re always receiving blessings, and that we’ve already achieved things in the present that we perhaps never imagined, which is a good reminder if you struggle with meditations involving gratitude (which I am guilty of, when I’m feeling low).
Some of the affirmations in this video are as simple as, “I deserve to have a life of freedom, joy, and peace.” But the simplicity in them is what makes them powerful. Whether you believe your life might drastically change for the better over night or not, sometimes the magic is the mindset: your perspective about your life and your appreciate for it can change over night.
